Sofia University SEG Student Chapter Activities
Field Trips
The main purpose of our trips is to improve the students knowledge and understanding of the main geological characteristics of every visited region and to provide the specifics of its exploration, geological features and mining history. We've had trips in Balkan countries such as Serbia and Greece, but also in Cental European countries as Czech Republik.
Guest Lecturers
Every year our chapter invites a renowned professional in their field as a guest lecturer. Our aim is to better our education and to improve our networking skills. We have had guest lecturers such as Prof. Nicholas T. Arndt, Dan Wood and Dr Richard Sillitoe.
Bulgarian Geological Society
After each field trip a member of our chapter represents us at the Bulgarian Geological Society's conference - National Conference “GEOSCIENCES”. Usually the conference also has international participants. That allows us as students to further develop our presentation and networking skills.
Get in touch if you need more information about our upcoming activities.
